Patch Adams

"Our job is improving the quality of life, not just delaying death." It's like everything I keep trying to say, but just said so much better.

Two things have come out of a friend of mine sending me the link to this: The first, considering how much I like Robin Williams, is how have I never heard of this film?

The second? I think I may have found my new career, should I ever decide to change.

Got that spot on! I've never heard of that film too until you popped that thing here. Definitely applies all the way across medicine, nursing and all that.

It is a great film. The comedy is great (such as when he presents to a group of OBGYNs) but the message is really uplifting: treat the disease you may win you may loose, treat the patient you always win. Brilliant

One of my fave Robin Williams films - and with it being a true story I like it even more. If anyone is interested this gives a bit more info on the real Patch Adams http://www.patchadams.org/patch-adams

I'll bet you cry if you watch the whole thing.

$20 (American) says you tear up.

Any takers?
